Our Mission House Publishing (OMH) is the entity that the Sisters of Mary Immaculate (SMI) offer their line of Catholic children's literature and products.
I met with the organization representatives that outlined what they were looking for. I provided a few mock ups of potential designs that included the white and light blue design they chose, which is based off of the habit that they typically wear. I also provided a clear explanation of the process and how long each step would take to complete. The development time was approximately 80 hours which included coding, QA, UAT and deployment.
omhsmi.org is a simple standards-compliant website created with HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap 3. The back end is powered by ASP.NET MVC 5 and MSSQL. The site is mobile-friendly and utilizes metadata (http://schema.org). The site has seen two major updates since it was originally created in 2009 with PHP 5, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and MySQL. In 2013, the vanilla CSS and JavaScript was replaced with Bootstrap 3. In 2017, the back end was rebuilt using ASP.NET MVC 5 and MSSQL.
